Her Heart Functions at Just 27% — Help Vidyavathi Continue Her Treatment

My name is Kandunur Madhavi, and I am raising funds for my mother, Astiki Vidyavathi (63), from Kukatpally, Hyderabad.

For the past three years, my mother has been living with a severe heart condition. Her heart's pumping capacity has gradually reduced, and doctors have informed us that the condition cannot be cured and can only be managed through medicines and regular medical care.

Over the years, whenever her condition worsened, she had to be admitted to the hospital. Each hospitalization would cost around ₹20,000–₹30,000, and with great difficulty, our family somehow managed those expenses. But this time, her condition became much more serious.

She was admitted to Usha Mullapudi Cardiac Centre, Hyderabad, after experiencing severe breathing difficulties and complications related to her heart condition. Medical tests revealed that her heart is functioning at only 27% of its normal pumping capacity, and she required intensive treatment and close monitoring in the hospital.

The treatment has resulted in medical expenses of around ₹1,10,000, an amount that is extremely difficult for our family to bear.

My mother does not have any source of income, and we lost my father a few years ago. I have a young child to care for, and my husband works as a farmer in Karnataka. Despite working hard to support our family, managing such a large medical expense has become impossible for us.
