My name is Vankudoth Krishna Naik, and I am from Kommala village near Warangal, Telangana. I am raising funds for my mother, V. Kantha, who is battling severe mental illness and multiple health complications that have left her bedridden and dependent on constant care.
A few years ago, a distressing incident at home had a profound impact on my mother and triggered a serious psychological illness. Over time, her condition gradually worsened despite continuous consultations, medications, and treatment from multiple doctors.
During this difficult period, my mother suffered two fractures. Because of her mental health condition, she repeatedly removed her casts and medical supports before the injuries could heal properly, making recovery extremely challenging. As a result, both fractures developed complications and healed improperly. While she was still recovering from these injuries, she suffered another physical injury that further worsened her condition.
Today, she is completely bedridden.
As a result of prolonged immobility, she has developed deep wounds and painful bedsores that require daily medical attention. She is currently under treatment from doctors associated with Ashoka Hospital, and a doctor regularly travels from Warangal to our village to perform wound dressing, monitor her condition, and provide ongoing care. Along with medicines, dressing materials, and other medical expenses, her treatment costs our family around ₹2,000 every day.
Doctors have advised that these wounds will take several months to heal, making consistent treatment and care essential for her recovery.
Over the years, we have already spent more than ₹5 lakh on psychiatric treatment, medicines, fracture care, wound management, hospital visits, and other medical expenses, much of it through loans and borrowed money. My father is a small-scale farmer struggling to support our family, while I had to stop working as an examination invigilator to care for my mother full-time. With our savings exhausted and debts continuing to grow, we are finding it increasingly difficult to continue her treatment on our own.
We are therefore raising ₹3,00,000 to help cover the costs of ongoing wound care, medicines, doctor visits, dressing procedures, and other essential medical expenses during her recovery.
My mother has already endured years of physical and emotional suffering. We are doing everything we can to care for her, but we can no longer manage this journey alone.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will help my mother receive the treatment and care she urgently needs. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and network.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers. 🙏
